HEALTH COACHING

WHY HEALTH COACHING ?

A common challenge which companies face when considering a health initiative for their staff, is how can they best help the employees who need help the most?

Open access activities such as company fitness classes are unlikely on their own to help those who find it hard to find time for training or are not very confident with exercising with their colleagues. And while a company 'health week' is a great way to kick-start to a healthier workplace, in order for the effects to be sustainable, a tailored, on-going programme is needed.

Personalised, confidential coaching addresses this challenge and is the most effective means of promoting your employee's health. Individual coaching focuses on each person's needs and identifies specific, achievable steps for them to progress.

We all have our own background and our own needs - and each person needs  advice and help tailored to their unique situation.

WHO IS IT FOR ?

The great thing about Health Coaching is that it is for EVERYONE! - all types of businesses & organisations, and all types of people.

The flexibility of our Healthy Staff Programme means the amount of time needed for coaching each month can be scaled up or scaled as required.

I have worked with many individual clients, and with companies ranging in size from 5 employees to 300 - and the Health Coaching model works just as effectively no matter the size of the workforce.

Staff coaching provides your company with a flexible programme designed to help everyone - some want to make some small optimisations, and others need to make big lifestyle changes. Individual coaching prioritises staff as individuals and allows for personal sustainable, healthy progression. It is a proven staff-benefit, valued by employees and which underlines your commitment as an employer to them personally.

EXAMPLES OF COMMON THEMES INCLUDE :

  • Ways to take care of themselves to reduce stress.

  • Advice to help sleep better so they're more alert and productive at work.

  • How to improve their diet so they can be sick less often, and have a healthy weight.

  • Ideas for fitting exercise into busy work and family life - giving them more energy in their daily life.

  • Tools to lose weight, prioritise their well-being, and gain more self-confidence.

  • Guidance for good nutrition to help balance energy levels, productivity, and alertness throughout the whole working day.

These themes - and many others - are all rooted in the same underlying need:

THE PRIORITISATION OF PERSONAL HEALTH IS FUNDAMENTAL TO WELL-BEING, AND GETTING MORE OUT OF EVERY AREA OF LIFE.

When the active promotion of staff health and well-being becomes embedded in a company’s DNA, evidence shows that staff are happier and more productive.

His large amount of experience was evident in the way he tailored the sessions to my specific needs, and helped me reach new levels of performance. He found a brilliant balance between enjoyment and effectiveness: enabling me to make consistent improvements throughout the programmes duration.
